Family is everything. If there’s one thing I want my children to know when they grow up, it is that their family will always love them, support them and be by their side. One of our greatest blessings is when your family grows.
I had the best time photographing this beautiful family for Taylor’s Maternity Session. Taylor and I reconnected after sharing the same alma mater, Ursinus College. We just missed each other, as I graduated the year before she began. I have memories of Taylor visiting as a recruit for our gymnastics team. When Taylor reached out, I was so excited to hear that she was pregnant and expecting her second son.
Big brother Rowan is not quite yet 2, and was filled with so much adorable energy for Taylor’s studio maternity session at my studio located in Center Valley. Becoming a big brother is an exciting title for Rowan to hold and I can already tell he is going to be amazing.
There was so much loved between this sweet soon to be family of 4! It makes me so happy when maternity session include the whole family.
You only have 9 months to document this special time. Pregnancy can feel like an eternity when you are in the thick of it, but the reality is, it is truly just a short period of your life that you get to grow your baby. Taylor looked so radiant and feminine in this beautiful light and airy maternity gown.

It’s time to start planning Christmas looks for your kids! Everyone is gearing up for Christmas card photos, and it can be overwhelming trying to style your children and family for your Christmas photoshoot. I wanted to take some of the guesswork out and provide you with direct links to these timeless outfits that will be perfect for your Christmas photos and for Christmas day.
Christmas is definitely an occasion to dress more formal. We all have those Christmas photos from when we were a kid that we love looking back on! Seriously Mom, you put me in that outfit?! Oh, the memories.

Some tips when choosing an outfit for your little one and preparing for your Christmas photoshoot.
- You can never go wrong with neutral colors. Accessorize with a festive bow, tie or fancy shoes.
- Choose something with some texture! Christmas time is all about glitter, velvet, tulle and faux fur. Have fun with it! Who doesn’t love looking a little fancy every once in a while?!
- Make sure your clothing is steamed and pressed. There is nothing worse than having a beautiful outfit, but being distracted by all of the wrinkles.
- Have manicured nails (no chipped nail polish or dirty fingernails) and a fresh haircut. Don’t forget to brush your child’s hair and to clean their face/wipe their nose.
- Don’t forget clean shoes. I know, it’s hard justifying the dress shoes when you think they may only wear them a few times, but having dressier shoes will complete the Christmas photo look and your child will look so polished.
- Talk about Santa before your session. Show your child some photos of other kids sitting with Santa, find a fun video, look back on old photos of other family members with Santa and prepare your little one for their session. It’s typical for some tears from little ones. Sometimes the man in red with the big beard can equal stranger danger, so set your expectations low and just embrace the moment whether your child is thrilled or not. Sometimes the crying photos are the funnest to look back on!

I was so happy when Brittany reached out to me to photograph her family to celebrate their daughter Mia turning one! I photographed Mia’s Newborn Session at my studio located in Center Valley, PA last year, and was very excited to see how much she has grown.
This beautiful family joined me at the Trexler Nature Preserve and we enjoyed some beautiful golden hour light for this family session. The weather was absolutely perfect. I had so much fun watching Noah and Mia play while their Mom & Dad chased them around. So much beauty surrounded us and witnessing this family just be themselves was so lovely.
